Over the last six years, singer/lyricist John Vento has teamed with producer Buddy Hall to create three exceptional CD’s. I just listened for the first time to John Vento & The Nied’s Hotel Band’s CD, The Way That You Roll. What rollicking good time American rock and roll! The original cuts are clever, the treatment of the cover tunes are unique, and the musicianship is terrific. How cool to picture a Trans Am for your Trans Am Dream, not to mention that gorgeous Billie Jo Powers on the cover. I can tell you as a Catholic Girl I know just what to do . . . . I’m gonna listen again and again to The Way That You Roll!

From the writing to the arrangements to the performances to the production …. Excellent !!!!This is ROCK & ROLL mother &*^%%##$ …. I love this kinda shit !!!
You are in great voice and of course Kenny’s sax work is beyond reproach.
At this point, my favorite tune ( and it is soooo hard to choose ) is Dancing in the Moonlight but, High School Dance is coming on strong.On a score of 1 to 5, I give it a 10.5 !!! I guess I kinda like it.

I am really enjoying the new CD. Your voice sounds better than ever. I didn’t realize you were releasing this one with new original songs….I was very excited!……but what?…..no songs with “Janey” in the lyrics?…….ha ha.

That’s my new “Get pumped up” Song - been waiting for one of those since Top Gun! Took me back to 1980, 81 & 82! Good choice for “The Way That You Roll” cover model , Billie Jo rocks ! I love “Reflections of an Average Soul.” Great job on the disc! So far my favorite is “My Best Friend”. Great production too! John and I will be playing it at shows during breaks. I’m really looking forward to hearing the new disc when it comes out.

You are amazing! This is a really enjoyable bunch of tunes. It hasn’t been out of the CD player since I got it even though my son wanted to borrow it over the weekend. It’s hard to say no to the kids but he’ll wait until I play it a few more times. (I’m afraid I won’t get it back once he starts listening to it.)

I received your new CD in the mail late last week, and didn’t get to listen to it until this weekend. I think I must have listened to it a hundred times since then. My Best Friend, Alaina My Angel, Tell Me, When The Pieces Fall into Place, Sadness, America’s Train, yes, I think that’s most of my favorites……all the others are my second favorites. Some of the lyrics bring tears, some I can relate to, and many just make me feel good. You really did a great job on this one .
