Nied’s Hotel Band
On Sunday March 8, 2009 the band began laying down the initial tracks for their upcoming cd to be released later this year. Producer Bud Hall and engineers Charlie Simeone & Mike Ehman, turned Nied’s Hotel into a remote recording studio.
As if recording a new album wasn’t enough action for one day, “Bar Band” documentary director Frank Ferraro & camera man Ben Herstrom filmed all of the action. This turned out to be a great opportunity for The Nied’s Hotel Band to present its donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Additionally, Radio personality, and rock-n-roll DJ legend, Sean McDowell (102.5 WDVE - Pittsburgh) surprised everyone with an impromptu visit which Ferraro quickly turned into an incredible interview for the documentary.
